Extra Curricular Events

Extra-Curricular Activities

Extracurricular activities constitute an integral facet of collegiate existence, imbuing campus life with enrichment and enjoyment. At IITM, there is a steadfast commitment to broadening students' horizons beyond academic realms, fostering a conducive atmosphere for the cultivation of communication and leadership proficiencies, thereby fostering self-assurance and facilitating substantial personal advancement. Engagement in committees, clubs, athletic endeavors, and other extracurricular endeavors fosters the acquisition of new competencies, engendering innovative learning encounters. Such activities afford practical involvement and afford a broad platform for showcasing talents and making meaningful societal contributions.

Co-Curricular Activities

To facilitate comprehensive development among students, the curriculum incorporates co-curricular activities. Significantly, theoretical knowledge is applied through the organization of co-curricular activities pertinent to classroom instruction. Intellectual facets of individuals are cultivated through formal classroom education, whereas character formation, spiritual development, and creative expression are fostered through co-curricular pursuits. These activities, in conjunction with formal education, channelize students' latent potential, thereby fostering their development into conscientious citizens.

Guest Lectures

Distinguished personalities from both the academia and the corporate sphere are invited to impart their valuable insights to the students, thereby enhancing their learning journey and broadening their understanding of the global business environment.

Conference/Seminars/Webinars

The routine academic gatherings play a vital role in facilitating the exchange of knowledge and research among our faculty members, students, and scholars. Serving as forums for engaging with experts in academia, they offer opportunities for information dissemination. Through conferences, seminars, and webinars, faculty members and students are exposed to contemporary paradigms and the latest advancements in their respective fields. Notably, our conferences have received funding support from esteemed government agencies such as the Ministry of Science and Technology, DRDO, and the Indian Council for Social Science Research (ICSSR).

FDPs

The aim is to ensure the professional development of faculty members, with a focus on enhancing their teaching and research skills to positively impact student learning and academic performance. Our Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) offer intensive training in pedagogical techniques, state-of-the-art research methodologies, and advanced knowledge in specialized areas.

Industrial Visits

IITM advocates that industrial visits, field trips, and excursions are essential components for enriching students' education. These experiences offer students genuine insights into the everyday operations of industries, providing a deeper understanding of their processes. Such tours ensure that students acquire practical experience alongside theoretical knowledge, meeting the demands of the curriculum. These activities complement and enhance classroom instruction, fostering new interests among students. Furthermore, they increase awareness of community resources and enable students to connect their educational experiences with the broader world outside academia.

Workshops

Regular in-house skill enhancement and personality development workshops are conducted at our institution to foster the holistic development of our students. Led by our faculty members and distinguished external experts, these workshops are tailored to assist students in achieving their personal educational and career objectives. They offer students the opportunity to cultivate the essential skills demanded in the professional sphere, thereby preparing them for success in their chosen paths.
